Getting an Oklahoma medical marijuana license

Oklahoma residents 18 and older can apply for a patient license through the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority (OMMA). The application is completed online through the OMMA portal. Once approved, you'll receive a patient license that's valid for two years.

Out-of-state visitors can apply for a temporary 30-day patient license through the same OMMA portal — useful if you're visiting Altus or stationed at Altus Air Force Base temporarily.

Patients under 18 can be served through a designated caregiver as specified by OMMA rules.

What to bring on your first visit

Two things, every time:

  1. Your OMMA patient license — physical card or the digital version on your phone
  2. A government-issued photo ID — driver's license, state ID, passport, or military ID

We cannot serve patients without both. There are no exceptions — it's Oklahoma law.

Payment in Oklahoma dispensaries

Faerie Fire is cash only. Like most Oklahoma dispensaries, we can't accept credit or debit cards because cannabis remains illegal at the federal level, which blocks card networks from processing dispensary transactions. Plan to stop at an ATM before your visit.

What to expect inside

Check in at the counter with your card and ID, then browse at your own pace. Our budtenders can walk you through product categories — flower, concentrates, carts, pre-rolls, and edibles — and answer questions about what's on the shelf. We can't make medical claims or recommend products to treat any condition, but we can tell you exactly what a product is and how it's made.

First-time patients should plan for a brief consultation with a budtender. It usually takes just a few minutes.

Earning rewards on every visit

Create a free Faerie Fire Rewards account before or after your visit. You earn 1 point for every $1 spent on eligible purchases, and your points and purchase history appear in your account automatically. If you've shopped with us before, your past purchases may already be earning points.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use an out-of-state medical card?

Not directly — but Oklahoma offers a temporary patient license for out-of-state applicants through OMMA, valid for 30 days. Apply at the OMMA portal.

Do you deliver?

No. OMMA does not permit dispensaries to deliver medical cannabis to patients' residences. All purchases are picked up in store.

Is Faerie Fire licensed?

Yes. Faerie Fire operates under a valid OMMA commercial dispensary license (DAAA-PCZ3-IHRH) and follows all applicable Oklahoma medical marijuana regulations.

Can budtenders recommend products for my condition?

We can discuss product categories and match your preferences with available inventory, but we cannot make medical claims or recommend products to treat, cure, or prevent any condition. Talk to your physician about medical questions.
